The Banana Fish is a mash up of the “Quantum Quad” and the “Flare” with a bunch of blend along the way. I started with the Quantum Quad DNA and blended in the rocker of the Flare. I adjusted the rocker a bit, added some concave through the center, softened the vee at the fins and added in a touch more double concave. The outline was narrowed up through the center a bit, and the nose, tail and tail block were pulled in a bit as well. The Banana Fish has more rocker allowing it to fit in the curve of the face easier, and draw a tighter line without sacrifice in speed and glide. Ride this one an inch or two longer than the Quantum Quad and an inch or so shorter than the Flare. As all shapes and designs, there are no ‘set’ rules on what to ride and what feels ‘right’ to you.
